The ‘Tier 1’ of the online workshop will start from Wednesday for which 85 candidates, including 33 women and 52 men, have been nominated and registered through more than 24 Hockey India member units across the country. India.

An introductory session is underway on March 2, where all relevant details and information regarding the 2022 Online Referee Workshop will be shared.
Hockey India will provide the appointed referees with the opportunity to receive interactive learning/study materials to keep them up to date with the latest rules/regulations through Hockey India Online workshops, as well as evaluation by the highly experienced Hockey India Registered Referee Managers.

There will be three levels of sessions for referees from March 3 to 31, 2022. Level 1 sessions are designed to provide candidates with a basic knowledge of the latest FIH hockey rules and regulations, the roles and responsibilities of officials, etc
In order to achieve Level 2, a candidate must pass an online test based on the Level 1 session taken previously. Level 3 sessions are based on the FIH General Tournament Regulations, FIH Fitness Guidelines for Referees, Information on Match Reports and Statistics for Technical Officials (Judges), HI ranking, the importance of performance feedback reports and various other operational insights.
After the Level 3 workshops are completed, the final assessment of eligible applicants is conducted via an online Viva.

Selected referees would also have the opportunity to officiate as referees at Hockey India sanctioned All India Sub Junior and Junior category national tournaments and championships, and will have the opportunity to become Hockey India registered referees on the basis of an assessment made by the experienced.
