Rental disputes? These webinars can help you solve …

DPS hosts free dispute webinars to help owners and rental agents navigate the dispute resolution process.

Over 2,000 participants have already registered for the 60-minute webinars, which are open to both customers of The DPS and other deposit protection providers and take place on April 22, April 29 and May 6.

The April 22 webinar will examine the evidence needed for a dispute, how best to gather and prepare it, and the principles used by arbitrators to reach a conclusion.

The April 29 session will examine common mistakes homeowners make that can affect the outcome of a dispute.

And on May 6 will review real examples of litigation evidence to test participants’ knowledge.

Matt Trevett, Managing Director of The DPS, says: “We always recommend that landlords and rental agents maintain an open dialogue with tenants and come to their own agreement at the end of a tenancy.

“However, arbitration is sometimes necessary, and during these webinars, our team of law-trained arbitrators will provide the practical information owners and agents need to participate effectively in the process.

“Our popular online litigation events are part of our continued commitment to supporting landlords, agents and tenants during the coronavirus pandemic, including with free, high-quality and practical information and training.”

More than 3,000 people signed up for DPS litigation webinars last year, the organization said.

DPS plans to host another series of webinars during the summer and fall to meet the high demand.

Potential attendees can register for one or more of the spring webinars here.
