Nottinghamshire Police will hold webinars on how to boost cybersecurity

Two webinars to help people protect themselves against cybercrime are to be hosted by Nottinghamshire Police.

The first webinar will take place on Friday, May 27 at 9 a.m. and is aimed at business leaders. The one-hour online session, which is free to access, will provide guidance on how to starve cyberattacks.

The second webinar will also take place on the same day and will help members of the public apply the changes to their online safety. The one-hour session will describe what cybercrime is and the simple steps people can take to protect themselves from it. The online event will begin at 11:30 a.m. and is also free.

Both sessions will be hosted by Nottinghamshire Police’s Cyber ​​Protect team and can be attended by people across the East Midlands.

Kirsty Jackson, Head of Cybercrime Protection and Prevention, said: “You don’t have to be a computer expert to avoid becoming a victim of cybercrime. Just developing a few good habits online can significantly reduce your risk of becoming a victim of cybercrime and that’s why we’re hosting these webinars.”
