That’s why they’re kicking off March with practical and insightful webinars to help you be more effective in your research. Landing the right job for you is possible, especially when you take the time to hone your skills. These FREE courses will help you do just that.

Although the unemployment rate remains low in Central Florida, many people are still searching for their next career opportunity, making Goodwill’s job connection services more important than ever to the community. Employment specialists worked virtually with job seekers to update resumes, practice interviewing and apply for vacancies online. Upcoming free webinars are available on the Goodwill website.

March 3 – Preparing a professional resume

On Thursday, March 3, Goodwill Industries of Central Florida’s Virtual Job Connection Team will partner with Indeed to host a free webinar for job seekers. The virtual session will teach attendees how to properly format a resume, as well as the search keywords hiring managers search for.

The session will also focus on how to avoid the most common research mistakes.

March 16 – How to seal or erase a criminal record

On Wednesday, March 16, the Goodwill Industries of Central Florida Virtual Employment Connection Team will be partnering with Seminole County Bar Association Legal Aid Society, Inc. to host a free webinar on sealing and debarment. This virtual session will guide participants through the process of sealing or removing a criminal record on their own, including eligibility requirements. Research has shown that alleviating the stigma associated with a criminal record leads to better outcomes when looking for a job.
