Registration is now open for the Small Business Development Center’s free online How to Start a Business workshops, scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday, May 18; 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., Thursday June 9 and 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., Wednesday June 15.
This webinar is for people who are considering starting their own business in Delaware for the first time. Although the program is free, places are limited and pre-registration is required. Following the webinar, attendees can register for free personalized business advice.
“We now advise clients with a variety of business ideas, such as manufacturing, childcare, marketing and social media consulting, service businesses, food trucks and retail stores,” David said. Root, director of the Small Business Development Center. “No matter what you plan to start, the webinar will help you determine if you are ready for what you need to do to move forward.”
Workshop topics will include why business plans are important no matter what type of business you are starting; bank funding requirements, if necessary; what steps to take to start a business in Delaware; develop a timeline for opening a business; and what resources are available to help you.
