District Attorney’s Office Announces Trainings to Spot Human Trafficking | News

The Kern County District Attorney’s Office invites the community to attend human trafficking trainings in January.

Human Trafficking Awareness Training for Parents and Guardians

What: Parents and guardians will learn to identify the signs of child trafficking. The KCDA has partnered with Zoe International.

When: 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on January 25. A Zoom link will be provided three business days prior to the event.

Human Trafficking Awareness Training for Hotel Employees

What: The KCDA has partnered with the Businesses Ending Slavery and Trafficking Alliance and the California Hotel and Lodging Association. Participants will learn the signs of human trafficking, how to respond safely and how to prevent trafficking. Training meets California Senate 970 Mandatory Training and Education for Hotel and Motel Employees.

When: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on January 25. A Zoom link will be provided three business days prior to the event.

Human Trafficking Awareness Training for Healthcare Workers

What: The KCDA has partnered with the Northwell Health HEART Task Force. Participants will learn how to identify red flags, assess potential victims and understand levels of care for treatment.

When: 3 to 4 p.m. on January 21. A Zoom link will be provided three business days prior to the event.
