MADISON, WI – Space is available in a new line of popular leadership courses from the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), offered in virtual and hybrid formats. Details and registration for Front-Line and Next Step Leadership courses are now available at WisCheeseMakers.org/Trainings.
“Whether working in the head office or on the production floor, dairy processing employees rely on essential skills like conflict resolution and time management all day, every day,” noted Rebekah Sweeney, Senior Director of Programs and Policy, WCMA. “WCMA’s interactive trainings are a great way to create a lifelong culture of these skills and so many other important leadership skills.”
Established leaders and graduates of WCMA’s frontline or advanced leadership training programs should take advantage of the Association’s unique Next Step Leadership Course, scheduled for Thursday, March 31. Each year, Next Step Leadership combines a review of familiar concepts with new material covering a specific topic. In 2022, the class will focus on talent retention strategies. Based on feedback from WCMA members, Next Step Leadership will be offered in a hybrid format, allowing participants to join in person in Madison, Wisconsin or online from anywhere in the world.
By popular demand, WCMA has added three more frontline leadership courses to its spring 2022 offerings. These courses are for new and seasoned supervisors looking to develop their skills in communication, stress management, cultivating a team mentality, and more. Frontline leadership sessions are offered à la carte and can be taken in any order.
Frontline Leadership Part A, scheduled for Tuesday, April 19, will focus on developing essential leadership skills. On Wednesday, May 18, Part B of Frontline Leadership will provide strategies to help supervisors improve staff performance. The Spring Series concludes with Frontline Leadership Part C on Tuesday, June 14, tied to building a team. The three spring sessions will be held virtually.
