NEW DELHI: Following the successful completion of the AHF online training workshops exclusively for Hockey India coaches, referees and technical officials over the past few months, the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) will be hosting another round of online training workshops during the September period. .
A group of 12 to 30 referees will participate in two exclusive AHF – HI online education workshops this month.
Aiming to provide technical expertise and knowledge on various aspects of communication and mental toughness for referees, these online training workshops will be delivered free of charge, consisting of sessions of three to four hours each.
Speaking on the participation of Hockey India referees in the AHF online training workshops, Gyanendro Ningombam, President of Hockey India, said: We are delighted that the Asian Hockey Federation is organizing another series of workshops in line for our referees this month. I wish the candidates the best for the AHF online workshops in September.
Meanwhile, Dato Tayyab Ikram, Managing Director of the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) and Chairman of the FIH Development and Education Committee, also commented on the occasion: “It’s always wonderful to chat with Hockey India candidates and so we are looking forward to hosting another set of AHF online workshops for Hockey India referees. Candidates have always shown great enthusiasm to learn new concepts in each AHF online workshop.
In addition to the online workshops exclusively for Hockey India, the Asian Hockey Federation (AHF) will be hosting another series of online training workshops for all Asian nations playing hockey in September. Hockey India nominated a maximum of six candidates for each of these educational workshops.
At the end of the AHF online training workshops, participating candidates will receive a certificate of attendance which will help them in the future selection of FIH & AHF courses.
